Educational and research capacity of Member Institutions would be enhanced
through faculty staff development and graduate program establishment/strengthening as Center of Excellence in engineering field in
each respective country. To develop the faculty's capacity, the AUN/SEED-Net Project provides 4 Graduate Degree Scholarship Programs to highly qualified young
teaching staff and senior students/young graduates (i.e., potential future faculty staff) of Member Institutions to acquire graduate
degrees in the nine engineering fields at Host Institutions in other ASEAN countries or at Japanese Supporting Universities in Japan.
Not only graduate programs at Host Institutions will be strengthened, faculty staff at Member Institutions will be well-trained and new courses or graduate programs at non-Host Institutions, especially those in junior ASEAN countries, will be established with advice from Host Institutions and Japanese Supporting Universities through the Short-term Research Program in Japan and the Short-term Visit Program in ASEAN.
