AUN/SEED-Net programs are designed to develop the human resources and academic
collaboration not only among faculty staff, scholars, and students at Member Institutions and Japanese Supporting Universities,
but also to promote collaboration and networking with the industry, the community, and non-MIs in ASEAN, Japan, and beyond. The
programs can be categorized into: capacity enhancement, research for industry and community, and engineering
network strengthening.
The core programs of AUN/SEED-Net are to provide scholarships to students under Master’s Degree Program,
Doctoral Degree Sandwich Program, Doctoral Degree Program in Japan, and Doctoral Degree Program in Singapore. The key support
program is the Collaborative Research Program under which AUN/SEED-Net students’ research is jointly supervised. Other support
programs such as Japanese Professors Dispatch Program and Short-term Study Program are devised to allow visits of Japanese
professors to Member Institutions and visits of students to Japan, in order to strengthen academic and research capabilities.
Short-Term Training/Research Program in ASEAN, Short-Term Training/Research Program in Japan, and Faculty Staff Dispatch
Program are also provided to enhance and upgrade the capacity of the Member Insitutions through assistance from Host Institutions
and Japanese Supporting Universities. On the other hand, the Regional Conference Program will facilitate gathering of all experts
concerned to share academic knowledge and present research findings along with systemizing collaborative research activities
among Member Institutions. |
