The intensive Management of Technology (MOT) training for Japanese Fiscal Year (JFY) 2017 was successfully organized during 31 July – 11 August 2017 at Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) with joint collaboration from Universiti Teknology Malaysia (UTM), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The total 20 selected faculty staff of JICA Project for AUN/SEED-Net Member Institutions (MI), whose age was under 35 years old with mixture of highest degrees ranging from master degree to doctoral degree and diverse countries; Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam, attended MOT.

The course consisted of Intellectual Property, Innovation, Marketing integrated with Finance, Industrial Visit, and Industrial Forum. The objective of the training was to enhance knowledge and capacity in making a collaboration with the industrial sector through research activities and to initiate awareness of the importance of MOT and how it could enhance academic curricular among members of the network.

Furthermore, the course ideally wishes all participants could virtually implement the knowledge learned from the course to bridge academic institution with private or public sector to conduct research together which can solve issues currently faced in the actual society.
