Program Overview
The AUN/SEED-Net program contributes much to Thai education in educating faculty members or faculty members-to-be from Chulalongkorn University (CU), King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), and Burapha University (BUU) and strengthening the academic standard of the two host universities, namely CU and KMITL. However, such contributions are limited only to the three member universities while there are more needs from other Thai institutions. To serve those needs and to support the sustainability of the program as proposed by AUN/SEED-Net during the 2nd Joint Coordinating Committee Meeting in 2004, the Commission on Higher Education (CHE) agreed to support scholarships to Thai scholars from Thai public universities under CHE, who may study in English program and receive academic advice from Japanese professors together with AUN/SEED-Net scholars, starting from Academic Year 2005.
