The Steering Committee meets once a year in the Member Country of the Chairperson.
The purposes of the meeting are to formulate policies of the
AUN/SEED-Net and to review and approve activity plans presented

Regional Conferences
Field-wise Seminars organized in the first phase have been expanded and merged to be Regional Conferences, which involve more participants from broader communities including industry, community, non-Member Institutions, and other professional organizations. The Regional Conferences are held annually in each of the nine fundamental engineering field and the five interdisciplinary fields, as the venue for researchers and experts to discuss and share knowledge as well as for members of the Network to systematize and update progress of all related activities for respective fields

Orientation & Monitoring
This is one significant activity of the Secretariat’s functions,
aimed to accomplish and maintain the high quality outcomes of the

Open Houses
The AUN/SEED-Net Open House was initiated in 2007 to promote the Project's Graduate Scholarship Programs as well as other activities to prospective scholars and to enable alumni from different fields to work together and share experiences with future generation of scholars. The first Open House was held by faculty staff and alumni at National University of Laos on November 27, 2007, with a hundred of prospective candidates attended. From the success of the first Open House, the Secretariat encourages this activity to be organized by other Member Institutions from Phase 2 onwards. See details>>
Journal & Database
ASEAN Engineering Journal and online bibliography database are among several groundworks that have been implemented to prepare for an establishment of the ASEAN - Japan Graduate School Consortium of Engineering as the sustainable framework for human resource development in engineering field, which will materialize academic resource sharing and joint graduate programs within the network.
